Hello there, I worked for Sony and Tyco American DYnamics , and their IP camera based Security monitoring platforms(corporate) for a few years. I also know DirectX and DirectShow quite well, and can develop this filter for you. Can you please let me know if you may be interested, and what exactly you want this filter to do? For this project, I will create a DirectShow source filter (in either C++ or C#) that will enable your Canon DSLR to be treated as a webcam on a computer. Additionally, this can also be extended to add support for adjustment of camera options via the software. Hi, I worked on directshow on developing -> custom source filters -> custom transcoders ( decoders, sinks, encoders for Mpeg2 TS, mp4,h264) -> I have hands on experiance in developing complex filter chains of custom filters and standard filters. Some of my key Projects- ->Virtual camera source filter that replaces camera input to a AV data from offline media file ->Multiple VMR filters for multiple monitor support -> Many streaming app players -> RTSP filter chain to capture the Video frames and save as BGR images.

ok, you are talking about directshow programming, i am good at that. i know how to build source filter that works in push mode base on sample project in directshow SDK. or a avstream driver in user/kernel mode. the filter owns one output pin, the output formats could be let me know later. thanks.
