Hello, I have already done Integration between Salesforce and Google APIs. The way I see this requirement can be fulfilled is by fetching emails from GMAIL in Salesforce, then parsing it to get key identifiers, then saving the email as an related file of the relevant record. Another part would be to copy Email's attachment and save it in Google drive and link the attachment to the record on which email has been added. This can be efficiently be done using Batch class in Salesforce. Please reach out to me for further discussion. This will require at-least 'Enterprise' license of Salesforce or higher. Thank you for taking the time to review my proposal. I envision the process as follows. Since we will be saving the emails as well the corresponding attachments in Salesforce, do we need to save a copy of them in Google Drive at all? 1. Define an Apex Email Service address in Salesforce. 2. The users can forward the email to the service email address created above. As soon as the email is received by Salesforce, an Apex class will be invoked that will receive the email and save the copy of the email along with the attachments in Salesforce Files. 3. Then, the Apex class will parse the email message to read the attributes from to, cc, bcc, subject, content etc. and find the record based on the defined business rules. A link to the email and attachments will be saved against that record. If the copy of the email needs to be saved in Google Drive, then the following steps can be performed. 4. Using oAuth authentication, authenticate with the Google Drive account and push the email message and attachments using the Google Drive REST API. 5. Log errors in case any errors were encountered in the process. Optionally, send an email to administrators informing about the error.
