Port an existing Android weather app for iOS.
The initial goal is to develop an iPhone version, however it may be sensible to develop iPad support from the get-go: your experience and input will be valued here.
The following is required:
* Development using Swift only (latest XCode)
* All development work must be checked into source control (SVN, supplied) for review/updates
* SQLite will be used for in-app data storage and data manipulation
* Data retrieval will via JSON POST requests
* In-app web page viewing
* AdMob integration
* In-app purchase to remove ads
* Weather widget/notification*
* RSS feed parsing*
* may or may not form part of the initial development
Other:
* Graphics and images will be supplied
* Specs will be supplied (web calls, UI, seeding database etc.) upon appointment
* Preference is for existing open source libraries to be used as required (for example for SQLite and JSON parsing)
* Left slide-out menu is required
* The project will not be a full-steam/full-time engagement for the duration of the project: due to being time poor there may be delays in providing feedback and/or providing new tasks. I’d be comfortable with this project being a side project from your perspective.
* Code will be reviewed regularly to ensure coding guidelines & quality – non-performance will result in the job being terminated
* Store submission/publishing is not required and will be done with the developed source
* If no suitable candidates are found the job will not be awarded.
* After the initial development you may be kept on retainer at an agreed per hour rate to continue support & development of the app
To be considered the following is required:
* Be an individual developer
* Have proven Swift development skills including SQLite database and JSON request & parsing experience
* Widget/notification development is a plus
* Deliver quality work you take pride in
* Taking initiative and providing suggestions

I am an iOS Developer with a background in Web development and Multimedia design.
I have lots of experience with cloud data, and recognize the challenges associated with cloud driven apps including request time, local caching, handling non-existent internet connections and interpreting the data returned from internal or public Web API’s.
I am well rehearsed in data modelling and formulating appropriate data queries.
I will ensure that the UI is attractive and intuitive on both iPhone and iPad.
