Same as the other one:
Rework 30 Templates
This is a very simple project for a web designer or programmer who knows what they are doing. I have 30, one page templates that I would like edited into mini-websites.
Short Story:
Taking the one page templates and adding the missing “home†buttons and additional pages with fake content and working menus. This should turn the one page template into a "web site". I'm looking for someone who can make layout decisions and go for it.
Long Story:
See the "before and after" examples here:
In addition to the pages, "home" buttons need to be created. Everything should be done in HTML or JavaScript. Please use the example templates for guidance. If you know your way around Dreamweaver and Photoshop, you'll have no problem.
Detailed Instructions:
You can either follow these steps, or you can take your own approach. The objective as stated above is pretty clear – I'm very open to different approaches to accomplishing this if you have ideas.
Items to edit:
- layout should be optimized for 800x600
- create “home†button to match other buttons
- pages added to match the existing buttons
- if the images directory contains "mouseover" buttons, enable them with javascript
- if the images directory does contain "mouseovers" buttons, each page should have the “alternative†button showing when that page is active. See examples 5 and 6.
- add in appropriate text in the header of the pages. Look at the examples… this is where a little creativity comes in to decide what text would look good here.
- Have content on most page be a little different. I'm including what I used which I cycled through the pages as they were created including the code for the fake contact page. See examples for reference.
- There should be a "sub-heading" on each page that matches the page you're on. For example, if you click on the "services" button, there should be a sub-header on that page saying "services". I use a simple javascript to do some of that for me. “[login to view URL]†I've included it in [login to view URL] file.
- bottom text menu "roll-over" color should match the scheme of the template. (note – I didn't match the colors in my example – but I'd like them to be matched in the final templates)
- clear meta tags between the begin and end tags.
- Replace title tag (may want to use the [login to view URL] technique)
- Font type should be Verdana
- All file extensions should be ".html"
-- When in doubt, look at the example templates or ask me. --
Additional Requirements:
1) Create 3 images from each template when complete. See [login to view URL] for examples. They should be numbered as in the examples.
a) [login to view URL]
- 800x600 pixels
- .jpg saved on maximum quality - 12
- remove all tool bars from the "view" menu in Internet Explorer for screen shot like in example
b) [login to view URL]
- 285x213 pixels
- .jpg saved on medium quality - 6
C) [login to view URL]
- 150x113 pixels
- .jpg saved on medium quality - 6
That's it. It's really pretty easy.
Complete details are in the attachment including the steps I go through when I edit them (the word doc).
It takes me about 15 mins per template to edit them
I need each of these templates too look good. That is why it takes me 15mins -- that includes extra time to double and triple check that everything is formatted correctly and that it looks good. I hope these examples are helpful.
Please let me know if you have questions. There are plenty more where these came from so if these 30 go well there could be more to be done.
Thanks,
Kelly
