SQL Server XML Data Imports

Project Purpose: To import a quarterly feed to a SQL server 2005, 08, 12 databases, solution must work on all three versions. 2005 version used for initial deliveries. Project Timeline: ASAP for this phase, future phases TBD. First four deliverable items (milestones) in order: ------------------------------------------------------------- 1) XML Data loads (and all required files needed to be validated/run by us.) in all tables (28 +/- 3 total) 9 are simple M2M join tables using a bulk prep & load as in supplied bat file with a load ID added to both bat and table (int data type) All external ref removed (all ref files are to be used locally, no internet required) e.g. [login to view URL] Shall be supplied as a file (source may require login that shall not be supplied…) 2) Create well formed XML Schema files for all tables. 3) Identify all discrepancies e.g. data not in XML files supplied for tables OR columns missing for data in XML files OR data size larger / wrong type than current column size OR any other error. IN A TEXT error log that can also be loaded into a SQL table. 4) All working files for all tools used delivered. (To be not less than 25% of overall bid.) All responses MUST include: ------------------------------------ A list of all tools to be used e.g. Altova - MapForce, XML Spy, StyleVison… or what you propose to use. Time line to complete: Min/Max Fixed bid cost for each initial two deliverable. Hourly rate for additional deliverable(s) not expressed above. Samples supplied Notes: ------------------------------- The supplied bat file will not generate the correct table structure see SQL files. Supplied XSL is not for SQL Server but for File Maker (and are examples only, metric is in control break out as needed.) These files are not 100% accurate and the ones supplied for the project WILL require modification. XML is complex type (Controls and Metrics in one file) The Schema file supplied is not well formed (e.g. missing header items) and is not complete as it is an example only. No schema files shall be supplied as this is a part of the project deliverable.
