BLUEsat UNSW is a student space society, with a mission to give students real-world experience in multi-disciplinary space engineering projects, as well as promote space technology in Australia.

Founded in 1997, the society began as a single project to develop a low earth orbit satellite. Its original aim was to launch one of the first student satellites in Australia. For more than 20 years this has allowed the society to provide for students interested in developing the Australian Space Industry. It has since expanded to include the development of Mars Rovers, Drones, High Altitude Balloons and Groundstations.

We are seeking a rebranding of our logo that is a match for Australia's emerging space sector. In addition, through BLUEsat new open doors access between students, industry leaders, as well as potential sponsorship partners is what’s possible.

The current logo reflects a traditional story of the BLUEsat initiative which relates to Satellites alone. The new intention is to create a logo that incorporates the incubator environment of ‘Space Projects’ across the that we have developed into today.
