I am about to launch a new E-COMMERCE website and i need a great logo for this venture.

SITE NAME: www.stockpiping.com

REFERENCE INDUSTRY / PRODUCTS:

- Industry: piping products for oil & gas, petrochemical and power generation plants (enery, oil, gas). No water.
- Products: products are pipes/tubes, valves, fittings, flanges, etc etc...i.e. all those products that make the flow of fluids possible (oil, gas, steam, acids,...).
- Typical application: pipelines in chemical plants, refineries, power generation plants, etc
- buyers: refineries, chemical plants, power plants, etc...everywhere there are pipelines transporting fluids
- suppliers: manufacturers and stockists of piping products

SCOPE OF THE WEBSITE:
The website allows the buyers to buy online the piping products they need, obtaining online bids from potential suppliers and choosing the best options. It focuses on purchases with urgency, unplanned, = stock (items already manufactured and available at some stock holder in the world)

BRIEF FOR LOGO:

- composed of word "stock" + "piping" (alltogether--> stockpiping) and a symbol that recalls what the site is all about. The symbol may replace the text stockppiping in certain contexts so its very important as well. A nice example is: www.zendesk.com (minimal, clear, original, positive)

- i prefer logo 2D

- i prefer non-standard fonts but simple and very readible, minimalistic, no futuristic things o strange shapes of the letters

- all text part in small letters, not capital

- should be quite compact not too long otherwise would look distorted in cases where there is limited width available (example linkedin space for logo)

- word "stock" may be evidenced as compared to "piping". i dont know how (both are important, but stock shall get users focused)

- the graphical symbol that accompanies the logo shall be inspired by the following things

a) what the site does
1) allows buyers and suppliers to meet
2) allows buyers to solve urgent needs of products at construction site
3) speed

b) the industries where it operates
1) oil and gas (could be the torch on top of the refinery)
2) energy production (power plant, electric impulse)
3) chemical (production of chemicals, drop of some liquid)

c) the values
1) reliability
2) solidity
3) innovation

BASIC BRIEF: LOGO SHALL BE CLEAR TO READ; MINIMALISTIC IN STLYE; SMART DESIGN OF THE SYMBOL; COMPACT IN WIDTH
