I made a model of how box will look..I suggest you to make this box with metal or wood(Sustainable). Totally depends on your budget. See if it is made of cardboard or any other paper like thing it is highly exposed to external damage and becomes unfit when it becomes wet. At the base i added a foldable cushion which is closed using a small magnet.
