I uploaded some more clipart logos i found so i just thought it might help for ideas
Also 2 of them will show you the 2 logos for the WORLD CHESS and WORLD CHAMPS LOGO.
So most of you will by now what types of logos we are competing with. i dont expect anything
like the 2 lovers on chess cover but we have to be very good..
i wonder if anyone can make me a Globe out of Origami???

UPDATE 1 FEB:

I just wanted to let you all know that I am overwhelmed with the amount of interest and all your ideas, they are all great, Thank You all so much.

As you know there are 100's of logos, and i wanted to let you know that I am looking at them every day they come in.
What I am aiming for is a short list of logos that I like and i think have merrit, and maybe some that could be tweaked a bit.
Once I have done this i will come back here to chat with you again and let you know where I am up to.
We still have a way to go so until next time all the best and once again thank you so much for your support.

I have supplied the idea i was thinking about, however it needs to be designed better and better ratios. Because its a chess tournament around the world, that is why i wrapped the chess board around the globe because no one has used that idea yet. i havent seen one.

i think the idea has merrit and i have not seen a globe chess board. it tells people straight away its a worldwide chess tournament without smaller details interfering with it. you can include the Year in the logo text or you can place it elsewhere if it looks good, in maybe its own scroll bottom centre i dont know.

IMPORTANT ITEMS.

1- MUST SAY CHESS.

2- IT IS WORLDWIDE GLOBALLY.

3 - NAME MUST BE EASY TO SEE AND READ

4- THE YEAR CAN BE OUTSIDE THE TEXT BLOCK

5- THE YEAR CAN BE AT BOTTOM OF GLOBE IN A SHORT SCROLL AS WILL CHANGE EVERY YEAR.

6 - LOGO ONLY NEEDS 2 TO 4 PARTS MAXIMUM.

7 - IT MUST WORK IN BLACK AND WHITE.

8 - NO CLIP ART AS IVE SEEN THEM All (but you can alter them)

9 - BEWARE OF THE GOLDEN RATIOS

10 - KEEP THE COLORED VERSION DOWN TO 2 TO 3 COLORS

11- IT MUST BE UNIQUE

12 - SUMMARY - IT MUST SAY CHESS, WORLDWIDE, AND LOOK GREAT.


So it is with this, that i shall hand over to you, the experts. Always be thinking,
what does it need, this way or that way, you know the ideas.

NOTE: Please always put in your own ideas if you feel it will work with the overall logo. there is no limit to how many entries you put in. You can even change the whole design, if you want. We want this logo mark to become very well known once we get going. so good luck my friends and all the best.
