<Technology Description>
This technology relates to contactless power feeding in which electric power is supplied from coils embedded in a road to an electric vehicle during traveling. As a possible trouble in performing contactless power feeding, when a traffic congestion occurs on a road in which coils are embedded, the electric vehicle is repeatedly started and stopped, and then the electric vehicle may run out of power. Therefore, in order to reliably avoid the power failure, the power supply to all the coils included in all the sections of the road where the coils are embedded may be increased regardless of the occurrence of the traffic congestion. However, this measure is not appropriate for efficiently managing the power consumption of the coils in all the sections of the road. In order to solve this problem, this technology controls the power supply such that the power supplied to coils in a traffic congestion occurrence section included in all the sections of the road is higher than the power supplied to coils in a non-traffic-congestion occurrence section included in all the sections.
