I need a new logo for our church (Grand Rapids Baptist Church). I designed this one over a year ago when we rebranded our church. It's based off the skyline of Grand Rapids, MI. It's okay but it's not super versatile in that it doesn't look great when you remove the text or move it to the side. It's worked okay but it's time to change. I don't have the time to do one right now so that's why I'm paying you!

You can take it two different directions. 1. You can redesign the existing logo (I included the original in vector) so it's cleaner and more versatile or 2. You can come up with an entirely different logo. Feel free to change color palettes but the main thing I want to convey is a modern, urban and clean look.

I rated and communicated with many of the designers. The winner did exactly what we wanted. It's our choice to award to whoever we want to. We could pay $1,000 for design that consisted of a single line if we chose to. We thought there were many good designs but none of them communicated what we wanted like the winner did. Woooow what a GREAT redesign! The same old logo inside a circle with the same old fonts! Great choice! Instead of paying $1000 to someone put your logo inside a clipping mask on Adobe Illustrator you should do like Jesus and give it to the poor!

1. The logo has to look good and communicate what it is without the name being in it. That's the problem I have right now, is it doesn't look good with the name placed anywhere else. 2. Not critical but if you could try to keep the dimensions more squarish that would be a plus. Some of the them are really tall (portrait) and others are really wide (landscape). It needs to look good if you put it in a 512 X 512 px box. Thanks and keep up the good work!
