I'm looking for a tattoo design to expand on my existing cross tattoo (attached). I am no longer religious and I would like to get a tattoo that integrates this cross, but shows a struggle. I'm going for a dark mood with destruction and death like in the Sounds of Silence video by Disturbed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9Dg-g7t2l4). Maybe there is some way to make the cross look like it's in a pile of rubble or a backdrop of burning buildings or something. Totally open to your suggestions. I don't want a skull/bones, just a feeling of struggle/difficulty/destruction/ruins/pain. Another idea is to extend the cross into a dead tree. Themes that might work are WWII destroyed buildings or a dystopian future. I want the tattoo to be mainly on the shoulder and not past half-way down my bicep.

  I was raised a Christian but grew up to be a Nihilist. If there is a god, good for the believers. I haven't yet seen or felt him to even consider changing my lifestyle. You can do good without thinking you SHOULD do it. I think it takes more guts to open your eyes.

  Great Talking Here ! I like both of your opinions. I don't know much about Religion but religion has nothing to do with art. Art Can be anything that's what I believe. Maybe Theodore Is not considering the fact of non - Believes. It's Okay. Because He's taught like that from childhood. I just Know I have Earn to survive and live. Dear CH, #guaranteed , otherwise, you will only receive useless, cross/rubbish cliparts stolen from web or your photos with a cheap photoshop filter applied ( you can download that yourself), current entries are proof ... best luck
