Most of my time, both professionally and personally, has been spent in pursuit of knowledge and applications of AI and ML. I was immersed in AI way before it was cool. Most of my time, both professionally and personally, has been spent in pursuit of knowledge and applications of AI and ML. I was immersed in AI way before it was cool. And there's never been a more exciting time for the industry than right now. More generally, however, my passion is coding. I code professionally, and I code in my free time. My go-to language is Python, but I've developed professionally in C, C++, Java, C#, Ruby, VB, and have experience in many others. I gravitate towards difficult problems, such as R&D type problems, math- and science-based problems, or optimization. But I've developed across a variety of stacks, from the database layer to front-end web/mobile, CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks. I've been in the industry for over 20 years in some form, across a variety of markets: academia, agriculture, health care, energy, and environmental. As well, I've been the client that has hired contract developers, so I know the expectations, and I can navigate the pitfalls. I deliver on-spec, on-time, and within budget. I currently work for an exciting startup in the sleep industry. I freelance part-time to keep my skills sharp in other technologies and stay current. kevesebb
