Description:
We are searching for a Content Writer to work with on a long-term basis, who can consistently provide quality writing for our business’ content needs. The main type of content Genomelink seeks from the candidate is blog articles, which we will publish to our online blog.
As our business serves the general consumer who has undergone a genetic test, the tone of our writing is friendly and entertaining, yet is credible with sound scientific backing. Our goal is for consumers to gain valuable, actionable information about genetic tests, how they work, and how the industry is involving. Educating the lay audience is a major objective.
The ideal candidate has knowledge of and ability to clearly communicate biology/genetics concepts to a lay audience. We may occasionally ask you to summarize the findings of a research article from NCBI or PubMed, so experience with reading genomics field scientific papers and/or experience in a genomics lab is desired. Knowledge of the genetic testing industry is a plus. The time commitment is 5-10 hours/week, with the opportunity to adjust upward contingent upon performance.
The candidate will mainly work with the marketing team to communicate on content strategy and objectives, and defining deliverables and timeline.
