We are expanding our team and we are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and organized Tax Auditor.
Qualifications:
- BA/BSC in Accounting or Finance or Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA)
- Certified Financial Service Auditor (CFSA)/Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
- Have demonstrable (International Financial Reporting Standards) IFRS knowledge
- Proven working experience as Internal Auditor
- Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules, and regulations
- Working knowledge of GAAP and International Auditing Standards (ISA)
Nice to have:
- Active CPA status preferred
Additional requirements:
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software, and databases
- Extraordinary organizational skills
- Ability and passion to solve a problem
- Ability to critically analyze and interpret data (following a systematic and disciplined approach) to draw effective, objective conclusions
- Strong numerical and verbal reasoning skills
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Analyzing accounting systems and develop audit plans
- Organizing and overseeing internal audits in accordance with the annual audit plan
- Produce reports highlighting issues and providing potential solutions
- Determining taxable income, applicable tax deductions, and nontaxable expenses
- Applying tax laws and regulations to auditing procedures
- Planning and performing operational and financial audits
- Developing testing methodologies to evaluate the adequacy of controls
- Developing recommendations and reports based on audits and presenting these ideas to senior management
- Delivering results and meeting client expectations
- Compile Audit documentation to the agreed quality standards and timescales
- Follow-up on progress made with the implementation of recommendations
- Be a proactive team leader, managing team members efficiently and ensuring training, development and mentoring are delivered to colleagues.
