Developer to update existing Laravel Events Web application

The application source code is available in Laravel framework

The application primary purpose of the application was to ensure that users are not able to book or check-in for multiple events running across the organization at the same time. Version 1 of the application source code is already in use and there is need to have the following updates made into version 2:

1) Let’s have a page to view past events with calendar buttons for user to filter between any two custom date ranges since the events are still available in the database

2) Allow users to book and attend multiple events in a day, but you cannot attend an event while you are already checked in or attending another one.

3) Allow the “Attend on behalf” feature. Certain users may be invited for an event but they may send out someone to attend on their behalf. Lets have a feature to show those attending on behalf of others

4) Currently users can check-in for future events today. Lets open check-in for events only up to 1 hour before event time. E.g. If an event starts tomorrow at 10.00am, check-in for participants opens at 09.00am

5) The reports filtering feature was prematurely built. This should be robust enough to allow filters for entire organization, for departments, and per event. The reports should also be filterable by the following parameters: "Year to date", "Month to date", "Specific date range", "Previous Month", Specific date", "All dates before", "All dates after"

6) Event admin to have a upload feature to upload additional summary reports that are visible only by event admins and the event owners

7) The user bio-data table needs the following improvements: employee name, HR number, gender, email, national id or passport number, telephone, organization, unit, department, designation, project ID (All arranged in this order). The email and telephone shall be used to uniquely indetify users across the system functionalities. Also Users to log-in to the web app or mobile app using their registered email or Kenyan mobile telephone number in the format +254 xxx xxx xxx (xxx represent 0-9 integer digits).

h) Let us enable the smtp mailing features. With emails being unique identifiers, then the following functionalities will be possible:

o Users to be sent an email with a link to change their password after first login after the first setup by any of the admins

o When event admin sets up an event, an email notification to the event owner requesting review and approval

o Return emails to the event admins to confirm approval of the created events

o Return emails to the event attendees to confirm approval of their pending bookings

o Emails to self-reset user passwords using the “forgot password” feature on the login page

i) Question: How can the geotagging feature for check-in / check-out show the actual geo-location of the participant? (e.g. ABC Hotel, Nairobi Way). Currently it shows some generalized locations e.g. Nairobi 30

j) The user friendliness of the landing pages needs the following improvements:

• Remove the current thumbnails as they do not add value to the dashboard landing page:
