Troubleshoot where new user welcome emails is going on Wordpress

I moved a wordpress site yesterday from one domain to another on the same server. When I create a new user, the user does not get the welcome email. The email is going to the wrong email address. There must be a problem in the database tables, etc. I need this fixed.
If you know what you are doing, this will not take you more than 1 hour.
