Hi, Myself Sunit Kumar, from India. I am an electrical engineer associated with a steel industry. I want to start my own business of low cost home automation.
Scope of project:
Suppose there are 5 switchboard in a [login to view URL], I would like to install each switchboard with an ESP8266 module, which will be connected to home WiFi network, to control each switch independently locally or globally (through internet).
Codes to be written in ESP8266 module:
• Initially, it should check for stored username and password of WiFi, if available , then try to connect with it. If not available then ask for username and password for the same to the user.
• It should also send back the status of relay ( not that of output pin which triggers the relay) through different GPIO pin.
• It should link with app automatically in case ESP8266 module restarts.
Mobile App (Android & i OS)
• It should have a common page accommodating all switchboards. Further scope of adding new switchboards should be there
• It should show the local Date and Time collected from either internet or smartphone itself. It should collect the data of local sunset and sunrise time in order to switch outdoor lights automatically.
• It should show all ESPs connected with local WiFi network. It should be easy , even for a layman, to link a particular room with its ESP module.
• It should have option of user defined presets to switch on/off any particular pin/pins at definite time.
• Whenever the power resumes, after power failure, status of pins must restore and same set of pins must be HIGH.
