WordPress Upgrade and Transfer Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Contract Web Development Project Manager with expertise in WordPress upgrades and transfers. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing the upgrade and transfer of multiple WordPress websites. Your primary focus will be to ensure the security and stability of each site by removing vulnerabilities, creating new themes if necessary, and replacing outdated plugins. The successful candidate will be able to create a clear plan and process for each website upgrade before initiating any updates, ensuring a smooth and secure transition.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team to understand their specific requirements and goals for upgrading and transferring their WordPress websites.
- Conduct thorough security audits and vulnerability assessments of each website, identifying potential risks and weaknesses.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate vulnerabilities and enhance the overall security of each website.
- Evaluate existing themes and plugins on each website, recommending replacements or updates to improve functionality and security.
- Create detailed project plans and timelines for each website upgrade, outlining all necessary steps and milestones.
- Coordinate with developers and other team members to execute the upgrade and transfer process effectively.
- Ensure thorough testing and quality assurance of each website after the upgrade to verify its security and functionality.
- Communicate regularly with team, providing updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Document all processes and procedures related to the upgrade and transfer of WordPress websites for future reference.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in managing WordPress website upgrades and transfers.
- Strong knowledge of WordPress security best practices and familiarity with common vulnerabilities and threats.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing security measures for WordPress websites.
- Experience in creating and modifying WordPress themes and plugins.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop detailed plans and timelines, manage resources, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
