Multi Lingual/Multi Store Magento E-Commerce Website

We require a magento hosted website, with lightspeed server and DDOS protection. Website details are below:
To start we are a chemical supplies company, we will be wanting to start 6 stores (within the one store) so multi store platform. Each separate store will be in a different language however we will do all the translation and content writing ourselves for this, the top nav bar can prob be done at the time of design as these will always stay the same.
Now although we are going to be an e-commerce site, we wish to have quite a chemical feel to the website and not too gimmicky or bright with lots of flash images etc…. fairly understated is our aim for the overall feel.
I have 1 website which is perfect for us to look like.

I really like the background of the website here some nice colours used and its quite clear straight away that it is a chemical based website. Now as these are not going to be a direct competitor of ours we could even base the site on this theme if needed.
Basic functionality of the website will include:
Top navigation bar as in the example website.
• Home
• Products
• Product analysis
• Msds
• About us
• Help / FAQ
• Contact Us
• Lab Services
That’s it – that’s all that needs to be in the top nav bar
Dropdown functionality for products (which will actually be the categories in magento not products)
Download availability for product analysis and msds which will be in PDF’s but there will a lot of these which we can add but essentially we want those to be in list form or small icons that can be clicked on then opened up i.e. windows style!!
Main webpage and template I want is a 2 column design with right hand bar.
We are going to need a blog which is hosted elsewhere (on your advice) then pull the posts into the website on the right hand column into one of the featured boxes to display say latest 5-10 posts etc…
We are also going to need a newsletter sign up on the right hand side bar also – We want this to be integrated with mailchimp though! (Module for this I suspect)
Obviously another promo box on the right relating to FB & Twitter
There will also be a my points promo box appear on the right hand side bar also (due to using sweet tooth points reward module)
The main header bar:
Dynamic content preferable so we need a country flag switcher to nav between the websites. Our logo, and phone number displayed and prob a small fb like, tweet and google+1 button – also going to need to fit into the header the my account, log in, cart, checkout links as they standardly appear in magento so (my account) etc…. you know what I mean im sure.
Other functionality will include:
Currency selector or to make sure that each website is displayed in the correct currency for prices of products.
A quick product locator (search bar) which can search by CAS number of UIPAC Number which will have to be custom product attributes I guess. This to be situated below the nav bar and above the image slider on the main template or below the image slider it depending on what looks best (in the example site they have it below the image slider. We want ours to look more like on this website though ([login to view URL])
Drop down menu like both of those websites I’ve used as an example.
