Windows RS485 Device Monitor

This windows application must be fully configurable via a service screen that can only be accessed with a username and password. The software will send a message out of an RS232 port, that will have an RS485 converter fitted, the message will be sent to each device on the RS485 network, each device has its own ID so in the configuration screen we will need to program how many devices to scan. The software will have a configurable scan interval. Each device we send a message too, will reply with a string with a value in. If the value is 65535 that that device is working and is in operationalstate. If the number is <65535 thenthis device is in error and the number we get is the time in minutes until thatdevice will shut down. When this isdetected the application will need to send an email to a defined email addressagain in the configuration screen, with the timer value, the device ID, and theside number. I will provide the protocoldocument for the devices to the winning bidder.

Also the application must have a graphical interface that will show the status of each device, also show if any device is in error andthe timer value in hours IF there is an error. It will need to provide an audible alarm when in error using the PC speaker. It will show a a different jpg for each state. This alarm will then be muted by clicking onthe device in error to ack this alarm. The application will also have a SQL database to store any alarm data locally, in case the email is not sent.

The configuration will need to be able to send email usingan SMTP server. It will be installed onto a touchscreen PC for finial usage.
