Detecting Extruded Aluminium profile

the problem i'm trying to solve is relative simple to describe:
imagine a table which many aluminum profiles laying on it. those can be from many kind of profiles ( sections - see in picture ) and not in specific order or count.
the software need to detect each of the profiles on the table and count the occurence of every profile. there is no specific "rule" for the order of the the profiles. they can be mixed.
we can assume that the profile is nearly perpendicular to the plan of detection camera
