As exemplified in the success stories of organisations like Cisco, Marriott, Microsoft and Google to maintain a competitive edge in the market, it is important that organisations are continuously striving to recruit, grow, deploy, optimise and retain employees.
One of the ways successful organisations do this is through strategic workforce planning. This assessment requires you to conduct a strategic workforce planning exercise to meet the future demands for your organisation (or any organisation you are familiar with).
You are required to develop a systematic process of strategic workforce planning based on a detailed environmental scan, labour demand forecasting, labour supply analysis, and balancing demand and supply to meet the current and future staffing needs of your organisation (or any organisation you are familiar with).
You are required to begin with a brief introduction to your chosen organisation and industry.
This assessment task is designed to allow you to apply appropriate strategic workforce planning concepts from the subject theory to a real-world organisation. As workforce planning is a key strategic concept in this subject, this assessment will enable you to critically think about the current and future challenges that organisations may face in relation to ensuring an optimal workforce.
Engaging in strategic workforce planning analysis is likely to give you a competitive edge in your current or future workplace to be better prepared to deal with the changing nature of the global workforce.

Requirements
1. The required word length for this assessment is 1800 words (plus or minus 10%).
2. You are required to follow Harvard style standard report format, in terms of structure, presentation and references.
3. Acknowledge the sources of facts appropriately. Use a minimum of 8 (eight) academic references to support your arguments. You need to use credible sources such as academic journals, books, industry-related journals, magazines, and company documents.
4. All articles used should not be older than 10 years, unless using seminal work.
5. The reference list is not included in the word count.
