Hi, I am running a Redhat Enterprise 3.0 server (LAMP standard configuration) and I want to ban specific countries from accessing this server. I think the best solution which offers best protection and highest performance would be using a IPTables-based solution (otherwise the serverload gets too high if every HTTP 80 request will result in some database-lookup..). The problem: how to get rid of other accesses like users using some anonymous proxies etc.? If I am using for their nameservers, would these need to go into the primary and secondary nameservers on WHM? Would the server work properly this way?
