[login to view URL] is looking to contract out the creation of a database/website that will dynamically keep a listing of candidates updated according to their likelihood of being nominated.
It will involved
1. a password protected interface in which a small number of users will be allowed to login (using email/password) in and rank candidates from a list of known contenders and also allow for unknown "write-ins" to be added.
2. This ranking will be stored in a database that saves the rankings over a period of time.
3. The most recent rankings will be added together and send to a public webpage that shows the candidates in order of ranking.
4. The webpage will look similar to [login to view URL] except they will be ranked. The information that appears in each 'slot' will include the candidate's picture, name, title and other information TBD.
5. The list of candidates from which the selected users can rank will change over time, so an interface needs to be available for the Adminstrator to add new names and information.
6. Rankers will also be able to add commentary that can be made anonymous or public that will also appear near the candidate in the ranking.
The envisions page would have a list of all candidates entered by the Administrator with 10(ten) radio buttons next to them with ranking position between 1 and 10. 10 being the highest position and 1 the lowest.
It is expected that this may require classic ASP or .Net ASP (Active Server Pages) but we not that familiar with those, so are open for suggestions. The organization does have access to MySQL and believes that is what might be used for the database.
The Adminstrator will provide the complete list of data to be managed by the system, and must be able to add additional candidates and information as necessary. The database structure and options will need to be tested and approved by the Administrator prior to launch.
The graphic design of all these pages will follow the current design of the website.
