Please let me know what shell, (eg bash, korn etc) and point me to the source that you want to modify (or I can find it if it's a common shell) and then I'll be able to advise you better. I am a low level programmer, i.e. c/c++ and assembler, and also have sufficient experience in parsing to believe I can do the task.

I have worked on a Project called "Simulation of Adaptive Monitoring in Microkernel OS" for which we have secured first place in a College Tech-Fest called 'TECHORIZON'. This project is based on a Microkernel Operating System called Minix 3 in which all the servers and device drivers are monitored by a server called Reincarnation Server. This server monitors all the servers and the device drivers using a statically computed Timeout which has some drawbacks. Hence, we simulated a system having a Client/Server Architecture and a Reincarnation Server which monitors this Server dynamically such that the timeout gets adapted to the System's load conditions.

I have been working with Shell scripts for Visa Inc as part of the Big Data projects that I handle. I have developed numerous ksh job scripts to automate tonnes of tasks, and to facilitate other tasks. Having graduated in CSE from NIT Warangal has helped me work with the best minds in the country.
