Create a Microsoft MS Access Preventive Maintenance Database

This Preventive maintenance database is going to be used for a facility/data center type installation to be used to track equipment and preventive maintenance on the equipment to be input. I would like the database designed mainly as an equipment asset tracker in which case the following equipment information (Fields) will be needed: Building #, Room #, Equipment Type, Equipment ID, Equipment Description, Make, Model, Serial number, date of installation. I would like to be able to search for equipment by any of the previous equipment info. For instance search by building number or equipment type and generate a list of equipment. The second part of the database I would like to incorporate a preventive maintenance schedule that can be modified. The goal is to be able to click on a piece of equipment and input last PM and then the database automatically calculate the next PM based on a set frequency (daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, annually, bi-annually (every two years), Every 3 years). In addition Equipment hours should be taken into account for scheduling of next PM. Such as current hours, hours of last, PM, and hours to next PM. This should be based upon some type of user input have a N/A option for equipment that does not use equipment hours for next PM or next PM based upon hours or a time period. For instance a generator is based upon 250 run hours runtime or semi-annually. so then next Pm will be based upon how many hours it runs or every 6 months. The goal is to be able to run a report for PM’s due next month based on schedule. User should be able to select between the frequency. For instance a user may want to select only monthly PM’s due in August. As multiple pm’s are completed at once an user friendly way to select completion of multiple PM’s at once will be necessary with the ability to track equipment PM history. The last part of the database I would like to click on a piece of equipment and have information about the equipment come up such as Filter type or size and quantity. This will have to be a broad range or able to ne input separately as some equipment has over 5 types of filters. I would also like to upload a PM checklist as well with the goal of clicking on the equipment (multiple at a time) that is due maintenance and then a report populate with types of filters needed to perform the tasks and ability to print checklists or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). Please let me know if you need any further information or if you have ideas that can make this database better such as creating a login.
