I have setup a smiliar SFTP configuration before for a project and it was successfully running. This must not be more than 3 hours of work once the query and flow is understood. It can be done through ACL (Access Control List); specific users can be given specific permissions on specific documents. I can help you out in it. And by the way i am Red Hat Certified System Administrator just done it last month. Good luck!

Hi, May I know from where you want to write file on your linux machine? Can I also know exact scenario in detail to understand exactly what need to do to solve your issue. I have worked currently in project where have to write on bank server which are based on linux. Yes thats not web server but there SFTP server from where they are picking up files. Currently how you are uploading/writing files on your server? you need to add that user in proper groups and give permissions as well. Lets discuss more in detail, so that will make our work easy.
