Hi I hope you are doing great. I suggest you can setup your own box at your home provided you have 24x7 power backup, real IP. You need to install some Linux on it and configure SMTP server. You are on to run the script 24x7 on your own machine. As it is at home, you don't have to open any port in your machine which is good for security. There are other uses as well of this server. I was a Network/Server/System/Technical Administrator for the U.S. Marines and several private sector companies. Yes you can use your own in house machine to do it. Technically you could install linux on a machine or virtual instance. Change or add an MX record to the dns. Setup a mail server on the linux machine. But the ip itself of couse must be a static one. Hello, I already have a similar program that I run to follow up with customers after they place an order. It is written in php and I use cron jobs to schedule when the script will run. I believe you will need a vps for this to work properly, shared hosting will not work in most instances. I can easily modify the script to for your needs.
