Write an iPhone application

The aim is to create an app that provides a platform for students at Loughborough University to find paid or voluntary work in the local area. The employment will be occasional, temporary work advertised by local residents. The type of work will include cleaning, babysitting, animal care, catering and tutoring. Businesses are not allowed to use this app as a platform to advertise their work. This is a platform only to be used by local residents needing casual work. Employee – to ensure the employees are Loughborough students, the app will only allow students to register an account with their student email address. They will then create their personal profile, providing a picture of themselves and outlining their weekly availability. The app will encourage the student to connect to their Facebook profile so that their personal profile is more reliable and trustworthy. The students email address will be displayed on their profile so that the employer can contact them directly. Employer – the employer will register an account on the app with their personal email address. They will then create their personal profile, providing a picture of themselves and the work they need. Included in their profile, they will outline the type of work they need - cleaning, babysitting, animal care, catering, tutoring – how many hours for that week, and whether they are willing to pay. If they are willing to pay, they must state the hourly rate they are offering. Their email address is visible on their profile allowing employees to contact them directly. Please note: if the employer is looking for animal care, they must provide proof of animal insurance. Payment – the employer has the option to choose whether the work they are advertising is paid or unpaid. This will be chosen through providing a drop-down menu under the ‘payment’ section with the options of ‘willing to pay’ or ‘unwilling to pay’. If chosen ‘willing to pay’, they will then input the pay they are offering, e.g. £6.00ph. There will be a selection menu on the side for employees to refine their search for employment, covering areas of pay (paid or unpaid) and what type of work they are looking for. We would like the design to be easy to navigate and kept simplistic. The app neglects any responsibility if faced with the circumstance of the employee not receiving pay for a job that was advertised as paid. The project will need to be completed for review and approval by 21st November 2016. In case of any issues or problems arising during this time that need to be addressed, the final deadline can be extended to 25th November 2016.
