What are the steps to allow web users access to data when anonymous NT login is disabled ? The VB.net programs which receive input from the users reside on one server and the data is pulled from another server. I could only make the software work by entering my own login and password for the server with the data, using an "identity impersonate" line in the [login to view URL] file. Now, I have changed the "impersonate" login and password to use the "registry:HKLM\Software\AspNetIdentity,Name" which is how I am told this needs to be done, but I have a problem in that the main IT worker has no experience with security issues and has no idea what he needs to do to allow the software to read the login and password from the registry. If you can give me some hints, I would be very grateful - thanks in advance.
