hi! I have a good experience about the linux systems. I have some RPi boards, but no camera for the CSI interface (I can use the usb webcam and at Your side it would be 80% the same). I can try to make the device boot a bit faster, but I think it would be better if the device is running all the time and waiting for the signal to capture the photo. there is also the possibility to add the secondary sd-card to the device using the SPI interface.

hi there i can do this easily with bare minimum linux that just captures image and goes on standby also we can use ESP- CAM if you need faster than that plz msg to discuss in detail
