Our initial project is to improve our inventory stock control and pricing systems but we feel there is an opportunity for the right person to work for us on a longer term as there are always ongoing projects to improve our online sales. And back office systems. **Inventory pricing and stock levels** We are looking for some automation routines that will help us take stock levels and prices from our suppliers stock feeds (supplied to us daily or weekly in spreadsheet format) and use the figures to update our inventory system ([[login to view URL]][1]) Channel Advisor links to our own website and other platforms such as Amazon and eBay. We have about 10 different suppliers. At the moment we update Channel Advisor by uploading .csv files but they do have an API and accept xml feeds. A couple of major suppliers can also supply us with xml feeds. So writing a direct link to channel advisor would be great. Stock levels and pricing are very dynamic with products often moving from one price to another for a limited period of time. Most of our suppliers supply lists that show "dealer prices". However depending on certain criteria these prices are generally discounted. We want to apply these (often fairly complex criteria) to the supplied dealer prices to create our actual "cost price" per item and from this cost price we can in turn work out a selling price. (We have a very basic spreadsheet that can do the selling price element of the job for us already.) Sample rules and spreadsheets of our most complex supplier (Universal) can be supplied. Other companies have similar pricing structures but supply cleaner data and/or less complex pricing rules. Our theory is if we can automate the "Univeral Music Group" data then all the rest will be easy to do afterwards.
