Hire a Back End Developer

We are looking for a guru-level back end developer to assist us with a long-term project that is just getting going. The work will be interesting and touch on many things including: • Using message queues to communicate between different program modules • Multi-threading and high performance computing • Communication via JSON-based RESTful API and Web Sockets to Angular-based front ends running in a browser • Integration with third party analytics API’s • Researching and implementing data-driven approaches to custom report fields and calculations • Working with a small team consisting of front end developer, an AWS cloud expert, project manager and chief architect. • Storing and retrieving data to/from MySQL RDS containers in AWS The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of software development experience with recent exposure and deep familiarity with: • MySQL (using Entity Framework Core) • AWS platform (EC2, ECS, S3, SQS) • Message Queues (on Amazon cloud) • Multi-threaded programming • Large data stores (1 TB and larger) • Familiarity with Angular 2 Framework • .Net Core / ASP.NET Core / Web API experience • Linux and Windows platforms experience • Docker containers usage/deployment experience They should also be able to: • Speak and write comfortably in English • Be available for occasional interactions with the rest of the team from GMT 11:00 to GMT 20:00 • Be available for twice weekly team meetings of 1 hour starting at 17:00 GMT Monday and Thursday. • Be available for the next 4 months, a minimum of 20 hours per week, preferably up to 40.
