The idea is that a diver is swimming in the center of the screen and fishes are swimming from both sides of the screen. The diver has a spear-gun that he can use to shoot at the fishes as they appear. If the diver misses and the fish exits the screen, the next time that they appear, they are another level down closer to the diver. If he continues to miss the fish will eventually catch the diver. As the diver shoots the various fishes, he gets a score and as he completes the level, he now goes into another level where the fishes are a little smaller and swim a little faster.
