I am seeking an experienced Android developer to undertake three critical tasks to improve my application significantly. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of Android development, specifically in memory management, and UI development to enrich user experience with new functionalities. Its about this Wallpaper App: [login to view URL] ### Memory Leak Fixes: - **Challenges Identified**: My application is currently suffering from frequent crashes, slow performance, and high resource usage. - **Problem Areas**: Through basic diagnostics, I've pinpointed that the issues primarily originate from Activities, Fragments, and poor Lifecycle Management. Especially with ExoPlayer. - **Expectation**: I require someone with deep expertise in tracking down and resolving memory leaks effectively. Experience with Android Profiler or similar tools is indispensable. ### New Features Development: 1. **Set as Lock Screen**: I'm looking to provide users with the ability to set an image or video as their lock screen wallpaper directly within the app. 2. **Set as Home Screen**: Similarly, users should be able to set an image as their home screen wallpaper seamlessly. ### Ideal Skills and Experience: - Solid experience in Android app development, with specific expertise in resolving memory leaks and optimizing app performance. - Proficient in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and familiar with the Android development ecosystem. - Prior experience with implementing custom UI features, especially related to wallpaper settings on Android devices. - An understanding of Android's permission system, as modifying lock screen and home screen images might require special permissions. - Experience with multimedia files in Android, including handling and optimizing video files for use as wallpapers.
