Senior Construction Lead/Engineering Project Manager - April to October - Belgium - On Site

Hello Freelancers, For one of my clients here in Belgium, I am looking for a Senior Construction Lead/Engineering Project Manager with more than 10 years experience in the Pharmaceutical industry and GMP. - Language: FR: Fluent, Engl: Business, Dutch:optional - Period: 3rd of April 17 till 31-10-1 Purpose of the Mission ------------------------------------- · Engineering is primarily concerned with the installation and implementation of developed solutions, for new facilities or refurbishment of existing ones. The scope includes facilities, infrastructure and equipment as well as the connection of services (water, chemicals, gases). Any other aspect in engineering like plant design, industrial programming, etc... may be concerned. · Engineering projects execution is organised in three phases: Design, Construction and Start-up (under the supervision of Project Management). This mission concerns the Construction phase. · The focus of the mission are the projects within pharmaceutical production buildings, i.e. including aspects related to cleanrooms, pharma equipment, associated clean and non-clean utilities, GMP environment and constraints. GMP and pharma experience is a must. Accountability: ----------------------- · Organize and ensure follow-up of the construction activities in projects in Belgium for several disciplines included in the project’s scopes (Civil, Finishes, HVAC, Utilities, Automation, Electricity…) .
Ensure that the project’s construction has been developed in accordance with the company technical Quality and EHS standards. · Managing the Construction phase activities (internal / external stakeholders), including its preparation during Design phase as well as support during the Start-up phase. Seek additional technical expertise as needed in projects · Drive the Engineering Offices contracted for the projects execution, push for project objectives to be reached, report status to Project Manager and propose solutions to solve issues. Primary Tasks & Responsibilities ----------------------------------------------------
-The role goes beyond being a Site Supervisor only dealing with day-to-day siteworks issue; role is being the deputy of the Project Manager for all aspects related to management of the construction phase. Organisational and management skills are then needed. - Individually or as part of a project team responsible for assisting in coordinating new construction and rebuild projects through in-house and contract labor.
-Responsible for quality of work performed within the construction department -Ensure that the project’s construction has been developed in accordance with the company technical Quality and EHS standards.
-Manage the processes to be implemented in projects ensuring quality of construction of systems and facilities.
-Ensure safety on construction sites. Manage the best tools and processes that guarantee 0 accidents in projects.
-Manage the contractors relationship in collaboration with Procurement and Project Management
-Manage the project organization structure for construction activities. Coordinate activities; fix priorities, monitors project team performance as required assuring project success. Installs a proactive, “can do” attitude within the project and purveys a “preventive rather than corrective” mentality. Integrates and organizes the specific technical expertise of the project team members to deliver best services to the Business as well as to anticipate and solve technical problems -Manage the relationship with contractors. The role requires a broad experience in contracting construction companies and managing construction sites, but also in the techniques and methodologies used by the contractors, ensuring to build processes and WoW that will guarantee the best quality in systems and facilities construction and revamping
-Manages CAPAs/Deviations under Construction Team’s responsibility.
