Hi. I have a stock photo site that gives photos away for free, and I need to have images I've sourced described and keyworded.
Here is the process: I will share a Dropbox folder full of low resolution images with you, and you will populate the IPTC metadata fields with and Image Title (short title for the image), Description (expanded, but still short, description of what's in the image), and Keywords (generally 8-30 words describing the image). All the data will be embedded in the images, and once you send back images via Dropbox, we will copy the data to the full sized images before we upload to our site.
Regarding keywords, there are tools online to help you do this well. I'm fine with, and would even encourage the use of, tools like this one: [login to view URL] These tools make it easy to find common keywords and appropriate concept words, but it is easy to get unrelated terms if you're not careful.
I have several thousand images to keyword at the moment, but I will work on a per-image basis. Many of these images are scanned slides that have a description printed on the actual slide. For those slides, I will upload an image of the slide sheet to dropbox in a folder with images specific to that sheet (so a sheet of 20 slides with printing on the slide will be in a folder containing small versions of each of the 20 images in the sheet.)
Please bid based on an initial batch of 250 images of various topics. All work must be done in English.

Biding on the initial 250 images, I'd like to continue doing this for you if the work is done to your satisfaction. The 4 days stated are on a 'four days tops' basis, as I'm confident I'll be able to finish tagging before the 4 days are due.
My english is good and I have plenty of free time. I'm always looking up to experiment with new software (so I'll make sure to check the one you shared) and I personally use stock images and videos quite a lot, so I'm familiar with the kinds of tags people look for.
If the bid is too high I'd be willing to lower it until we can both reach a more agreeable sum.
I ask for half the money upfront because I want to be able to pay for one of the english competence test this site offers.
Rather than questions, I'd like to be told if I'm being considered for this job so I can start releasing space in my dropbox, as it's currently full.

The description of whole task is quite exciting and thought provoking 'cause of describing photos through my words.
I've been looking for writing works that are creative and not much technical 'cause I am more into describing things rather than making much.
I would love to do all of them , but as you said for the initial 250 stock photos ; I've bidded with 80$ , hence we can talk more to adjust in less for the whole package too.

first of all- thank you for a thoroughly and clearly explained project resume(not something you can often find). Second of all, your project seems really interesting. Not because i like watching at pictures(:D), but because as a web user and student, i know how hard it is to find what you need, when you need it. In the years of searching for content on the web, i've developed a habit of phrasing my searches in a specific, short manner,with words most possible to be used and that has served me well so far as a user. If i can transfer that to my job as a describer and keyworder, i think the effect will be as positive. I've also had some experience as a copywriter and with SEO.
