This is a simple task for someone who is familiar with the concept of sockets. Depending on the complexity of the project in question, my initial plan is to create a class encapsulating everything required to establish a safe communication with the server, making the end user unaware of everything that's going on in the class. If the project ends up being as simple as the description states, I might just end up making a simple static function requiring a few necessary arguments: string that is being sent to the server, the ip and port of the server. The return value of the function will be the server's response (nullptr if an error occurs). The function should look something like this: string sendMsg(string msg, string ip, int port); If there's no need to change the ip and the port of the server, those two arguments could be removed from the function declaration. Then it would look like this: string sendMsg(string msg); I have made a few applications that had the above mentioned functionality (a simple messenger with the ability to send and receive messages between 2 end users, an application using long distance function calling with tcp sockets, etc.). Will there be any further functionalities to the dll?
