I am posting a part-time job for a successful viral news site, although it is part time work if you are a good fit more hours will probably be available in the future..
This job is for a viral site that gets all of its traffic from social platforms like Facebook, twitter, etc. The website has a 99% U.S.A. audience, age 55+, from the south of the united states.
I am looking for someone who can identify viral stories for this audience, write or rewrite titles, and find featured images that will make the user want to click through from their newsfeeds to my site.
The job requires 24 fresh pieces of viral content every weekday, Monday-Friday with a deadline of 4pm EST (new york city time).
I have some tools that can help find content, and will provide training, but would also like to find someone skilled in viral content that can help add their own techniques for finding GREAT content.
The content is usually found on social sites, competitors FB pages, youtube, pinterest, local news, etc.
I need someone who is:
-Reliable and can meet deadlines(although the hours you choose to work can be flexible).
-Has experience with viral content sites.
-Speaks english as a first language or as good as someone who was born in the United States.
-Understands what a 55+ y/o audience would click on.
-Can write intriguing headlines and capture images that will stand out in the users newsfeed and encourage click through.
- Lives In the United States.
