Description: Abigail Waller, the princess of Waller Lands grows up to enjoy wealth as her family had never known. One thing, initially seemed to damage the image of her family – the absconding of her older brother, Griffith Jr, with his slave-lover, but her father, Griffith Sr’s success with the new plantation soon replaced disdain with respect. Abi was rich and proud, and with dark blue eyes and an unusual beauty, every man in Dolton, Kentucky wanted her hand in marriage. But the war breaks out and Abi must humble herself to depend on one of her slaves, the dark-skinned and shy Terrance, whose mother, Vivian, suffered untold abuse in the hands of Abi’s father. And mother. With Waller Land gone, and only a devastation left, Abi becomes the woman of unusual beauty who must find her own path and survive her new reality. But will she be able to face the consequences of the evils her family perpetrated in her childhood, and a growing attraction for a colored man she should stay far away from? Timelines:  Abi was born on January 7, 1854.  Terrance came to work on Waller Lands sometime in 1859 at the age of 15 years, or thereabout. His older brother, Dannyboy was probably 17.  Griffith Waller Jr ran off with his father’s slave Dorothy “Dolli” Waller in July, 1859.  Golden, Vivian’s mixed racial son is sold by Griffith Sr, Jan. 1861. He is 11 years old, born in 1850.  War starts in America, April 1861.  Fleeing Union soldiers enter Waller Land by night and hold the occupants’ hostage. Terrance hides Abi, February, 1864.
