Hi, I am started bidding actively here on freelancer only recently, however I have been working with Joomla since 2008. Lately I have done a lot of migrations from 1.5 to 3.2. Some of them here on freelancer.com, You can read the reviews. The title of your project is deceiving, more than moving servers (which is what the 100 USD or so bids are for) you need a migration from Joomla 1.5 to 3.2 and I guess most bidders didn't read the whole brief. I did, and I did review your current site, hence my bid. That said let me explain my approach to migrating from Joomla 1.5 to 3.2. Unfortunately there are no working automated tools to do so. The existing ones all have countless bugs and restrictions. What's more the template engine is completely different which means that the template has to be redone entirely. So experience taught me to proceed this way: first clone the existing site (it can be cloned onto your new server), then install a fresh Joomla 3.2. Use J2XML to migrate articles, categories and and sections and users. Then build an inventory of every extension you use. Check if there is a compatible version. If not find a replacement or update the existing ones for 3.2 if possible. Then rebuild the template. I'm running out of space but do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
