Remove previous work and try again to install and configure LMDE 5 and back up files>2 ways

My reqs for the install, configure initial part of this: 1. remove previous attempts to do the following from both my computer and Seagate external hard drive; 2. install and do “standard configuration” of LMDE 5 on >=1 computer of mine, with a partition so I can keep W10; 3. set up periodic automatic backup of my files up on SeaGate ext. drive; 4. set up periodic automatic backup of my files up in the Cloud, with some paid service that has a competent syncing capability for large files and large numbers of small files (as I read OneDrive and googledrive do NOT, and which I think is causing current increasing corruption of my files); 5. system restore set up;<==this is included in the standard configuration, but must be turned on. 6. set up firewall;<==this is included in the standard configuration, but must be turned on.
