Polyurethane Industrial Spray/Panel Foam Formulations - repost

Hello freelancers, A Polyurethane foam manufacturer and supplier is looking for a chemist in order to help with new formulations. A polymeric chemist would be ideal, however any chemist that has long experience in the field will do. As of recent, the use of HCFC-141b as a foam blowing agent has been banned in the region. What we need from you is to help us formulate a polyurethane formula using HFC-365/227. We have a developed a few blending formulas, however, we are having a few issues that we think a polymeric chemist will be able to solve easily. There are cases of not being able to lower the free rise densities and we have noticed other cases of shrinkage. Also, our raw material cost has increased a lot. We deal with both spray and panel foam systems. All of our PU foams are MDI (methylene diisocyanate) based. Project responsibilities: - come up with new blending formulas using HFC-365/227 for both kinds of systems (or edit our existing ones in order to solve the shrinkage and high density problems) - help us reduce the cost of the formula by picking ideal amounts of every ingredient We will share more details with the picked freelancer.
