282350 Ecommerce/Product Configurator

E-commerce with Product Configurator Scope: The scope of this project is to create an e-commerce solution that will encompass boxed products and configurable products with administrative controls for updating of catalog items and pricing. Shipping will also need to be calculated using UPS API. Deliveribles: 1. Reusable code with proper documentation of all functions 2. Detailed timeline of coding and labor 3. Quality checklist and verified by both the programmer and ElonBlue Breakdown: 1. Coding will need to be in php using ajax principles 2. Database structure in mysql to support the online store and configurator 3. Front end module store front that can be adapted integrated into our web design that we have complete. 4. Backend structure for administrative changes with help for detailed areas 5. Products will need the option to browse computer to add photos (thumbnails created by the system). 6. Front end configurator for metal products with drill down selections that will calculate the pricing and add to cart. 7. Configurator part of the store will need to have a maintenance mode to turn it on and off from making purchases. When it is turned off, it will function as a Price Quote. It will allow the customer to configure and add products to cart and instead of allowing them to checkout, it will allow them to Email a Copy of the cart contents them them (in offline mode it will function as a Price Quote system). 8. Product logic will need to determine if a product is configurable and if purchasable via the store. 9. It may be need to use a separate table for the configurable details. 10. Store will need account creation and tracking of purchases with account recovery 11. Shipping will need to UPS shipping cost integration and the option for store pickup 12. All receipts will need to be emailed to the customers email address in their profile. 13. This project can not be based on OSCommerce Configurator example: The selection boxes will all be possible starting points using an elimination type query till a final product is reached and a price is calculated based on a custom formula. (Sample formula: L * W / 144 = TotalSqFt * PricePerSqFt = ConfiguredPrice)
