Cellphone provider service webshop 1.) The store The webshop offers cellphone contract services. There are in total 5 products 1. Cell phones 2. Contract with cell phone 3. Only contracts (sim-only), is a different product then in the combination 4. Prepaid cards 5. ensurance The store offers multiple cellphone brands like Nokia, HTC, Iphone or Sony Ericsson. Also there are different providers for subscriptions like: Vodafone or Tele2. 2.) Additional/customized product types 2.1) Product type: contract + phone Only one contract possible per cart 12 or 24 month contracts contract has discount value of e.g 60 min for € 25 * 12 months = € 300 A variable margin of profit for the reseller (The webshop owner) in total or percentages 2.2) The equation: € 25 * 12 months = € 300 – 10% margin of profit = € 270 discount on cellphone or € 35 * 24 months = € 840 – € 50 margin of profit = € 790 discount on cellphone 3.) Select your subscription / cellphone 3.1) The customer can first select a contract, the “add to cart button will direct to the cellphone page.” So if we use the second example from above with a € 790 discount all cellphones that are within this amount will show free. Otherwise the remaining amount is shown. 3.2) The customer can also choose a cellphone first. The phone will show the full price and has two: “add to cart buttons”, one for purchasing with out subscription (will direct to checkout) and one to purchase with a subscription (will direct to subscriptions) Subscription will show total price to pay in combination with the selected cellphone. 3.3) This “discount rule” must only apply to contracts and phones or visa versa. Also the cellphones and contracts needs to be categorized, so the customer can easily navigate on brand or provider. But I think standard Magento functionality is able to do this. The store will also offer insurances, accessories sim-only or preipaid cards and these products can be purchased in combination with contract but without any discount applied as descriped in 2.2. Subscription with phone are only added to cart when selected both in the steps descriped above (3.1, 3.2). They will show as one item in the cart only one contract possible per cart, this also includes the sim-only, because this is a contract to.
