DirectShow Video Capture

I have been attempting to get the DirectShow module to record from my tv tuner for the past couple of days. I have looked all over MSDN, and everything I found didn't seem to work. I'm using VB6 and the Microsoft Video Control as well as the Microsoft Tuner reference. These are DX9 components that only work with Windows XP. This is just a personal project, so I don't have a lot of money to put into it, espically since I'm a college student. I just need a way to capture the video and audio, has to use DirectShow though so that I can programatically change channels without the user having to go through all the stuff they have to if you use VFW, to an avi file. Please let me know if you have any questions. A demo app showing that it works would be great since I've tried all sorts of things off of MSDN, but they came up with device initialization errors, or the filter wasn't even available for some reason. I want this to work with Hauppauge as well as ATI and other TV tuner brands as well. ## Deliverables If you find a 3rd party component and can give me the ability to use it without nag screens or having to pay for it, that would be great. ## Platform Visual Basic 6, DirectX 9, Windows XP
