Thanks for taking the time to consider this project.
As an overview, I currently have a Zencart 1.3.7 site that never went live because 1.3.8a became available (with Paypal Website Payments Pro support) after the template was made, but before I fully populated the site. So, it has been idle far too long and I need to get it running on 1.3.8a so I can move forward.
The "site" is up right now, and I will PM the URL to those interested. The site itself does not need to be migrated, nor any data migrated. The template includes the visual layout, and a few tweaks to the way the product lists appear, etc. I will bring up a brand new 1.3.8a install that we will add the finished product to. We do not have an expedited timeline, we just want it to be completed correctly. For an experienced Zencart person, I think this would be a fairly straight forward process.
The previous template developer told me it was impossible to utilize the Zencart override system, but several developers since then have said otherwise. So, when the template is migrated to 1.3.8a and cleaned up, I need the process to follow Zencart best practices, which includes using the template override system for future upgrade ease.
So, in summary, we need a template that was designed for 1.3.7 to be migrated and cleaned up for use in 1.3.8a, using the template override system. We need this "new" template to look the same and function the same as it currently does. Migration of the site or database/data is out of scope.
I am an easy person to work with and am fairly clear in communicating what we want to be done. I would like to see the progression as its made to ensure it's what we expect and eliminate any unwanted work (wasted effort). I can communicate several times daily and can respond quickly via email or IM to answer questions.
We hope to build a relationship with the winning bidder for any future upgrades/modifications. Having said that, I have to add this as I was a victim of this in the past. By bidding on this project, you agree the resulting product, as well as the original/source product remains the client's property, and will not be reused in any way.
If you have any questions, please ask them now via PM. Thanks again for considering this project and I look forward to working with the winner.
