Project:Everyone Can Play

I'm an independent game developer currently working on a project that will launch on kickstarter soon and I am in need of 3D assets for the game. The game itself is designed for children dealing with developmental delays so we are not looking for photo realistic models but instead something in the middle of cartoon and realistic. I'm currently a student at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette studying Computer Science with a concentration in game design and development, I have also teamed with another game design studio with experience in production of video games. Unfortunately we cannot offer payment up front as our funding will have to come through our kickstarter initiative. However, we can promise anyone willing to join our team now a portion of the donations as deferred payment. In fact, the reason we have to start a kickstarter initiative is to pay for 3D assets to be created. This is a chance for an unproven artist to get in on the ground level of a new game development team. We have already produced a rough design document and have one concept artist currently working on thematic concepts. The only stipulation is that we need the rigging and animation to be compatible with the Unity 3D engine. Version 4.0 came out recently so that will be the engine we'll have in mind when designing. If you know what this means then cool, if not, that's okay we can discuss the software you're using and perhaps procure you new software and hardware if need be. We're independent developers so we understand if you lack experience. Please don't hesitate to apply. Style is much more important than being able to produce a photo realistic model for this project so we look forward to any applicants. Everyone will be considered regardless of experience. The pay will depend on the amount of funding we receive through kickstarter, which to some degree will itself depend on how good of a job our artist can do at showcasing the feel of our project. If you do the research on kickstarter initiatives, and especially unique and noteworthy kickstarter initiatives like ours is, you will see that it easily serves as a funding platform. If you're interested, we can discuss an increase in pay upon launch of kickstarter. I will send whoever is interested a rough copy of the design document so they can decide if it's something they might be interested in. Forgive me but I don't want to throw it around because it's sensitive information at the moment.
