Hi there, The requirements look quite clear and straightforward to implement. At the moment, only viable option you have for this type of job is clarifai. Neither google vision nor amazon rekognition has such feature. There are a couple of open source alternatives but I doubt if they'd be comparable to paid services. Considering that you're ok with clarifai here's how things would work. User will input website(s) to grab the images from and set of images he'd like to compare. User can upload his own images directly or use an accesible url. Tool will collect the images from these websites and upload them to clarifai to create a collection. Then, images selected by the user will be searched against that collection and a score will be determined for each. I'm not sure how you intend the tool work with the images on websites. Is it just supposed to collect all the images on the website and use them or maybe allow the user from the discovered images before processing? I should note that regardless of the method if the target website does not allow hotlinking, API can not access the images. Also, what about the user management aspect? Is the tool going to be publicly available, or will you handle that side yourself? I am planning to use python to implement the solution, possibly flask framework. I will set it up on AWS. This would take 10 days at most, thanks.

Hi, I have experience building web scrapers using R + Selenium (or rvest if you prefer). This includes complex websites requiring authentication or cookies, etc. I will also build the code to call the image recognition/comparison API and save the resuling scores. This will be presented as a simple website that allows the user to upload the site to scrape the images from and test images to use as a benchmark.
